How to use the Rotate Image

  1. Add the photo you want to turn, by choosing it, dropping it on the page or pasting it. Several photos work too.
  2. Under Rotate and flip, select Rotate left 90°, Rotate right 90°, Rotate 180°, Flip horizontal or Flip vertical. The preview updates right away.
  3. To fix a slight tilt, drag the Straighten slider or type an angle, then choose how to handle the empty corners.
  4. Select Download, or Download all (ZIP) if you turned several photos.

Frequently asked questions

How do I rotate an image 90 degrees?

Add the image and select Rotate right 90° or Rotate left 90° in the Rotate and flip card. The preview turns right away. Select the button again to keep turning, then download the result. Rotate 180° does a half turn in one step.

How do I flip an image horizontally?

Select Flip horizontal in the Rotate and flip card. It mirrors the picture from left to right, so text and faces face the other way. Flip vertical mirrors it top to bottom. Flipping both ways at once is the same as turning it 180 degrees.

Why is my photo sideways after I upload it?

Your camera saved the photo with a note about which way is up, and the site you uploaded to ignored the note. Use Fix orientation only here. It turns the pixels upright and removes the note, so the photo looks the same in every app and on every website.

Can I straighten a crooked photo?

Yes. Drag the Straighten slider or type an angle between −45 and 45 degrees. Then choose Crop to remove empty corners for a clean rectangle, or Expand canvas to keep the whole picture and fill the corners with a color. The preview shows the result before you download it.

Can I rotate several photos at once?

Yes. The rotate and flip buttons apply to every photo on the page, and Download all (ZIP) saves them together. When one photo needs a different turn, open its settings button and rotate that photo alone, then choose Save and apply.

Does the tool upload my photos?

No. Your photos are rotated in your browser and never uploaded. The preview you see is drawn on your own device, and the saved copy is created there too. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how many times you can adjust the angle.
